Rotational Captain – 40m M/Y (Private)

YACHT OVERVIEW
A beautiful 40m private motor yacht is seeking an experienced and professional Rotational Captain to join its team.
The yacht is privately owned by a lovely family who enjoy cruising with their extended family and children. The ideal candidate will be personable, professional and capable of building strong relationships with both the owners and crew.
We are looking for a hands-on, mature and reliable Captain with strong leadership skills, a positive attitude and a genuine passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
The owners are looking for a Captain with a positive mindset, innovative thinking and high professional standards. The successful candidate will lead by example, earn the trust and respect of the owners and crew, and go the extra mile to ensure every guest trip is memorable.
ITINERARY
Based in Auckland, New Zealand, the yacht operates a varied cruising programme throughout the year. The summer months are generally spent in Auckland and cruising locally, while the winter season involves exploring the South Pacific.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Master less than 500 GT qualification.
- Valid STCW certification.
- Valid Seafarers Medical.

- Start Date: November / Early December 2026
- Salary: NZD DOE, training package, medical insurance
