We are currently seeking a Temporary Bosun / 2nd Officer to join a 50m Motor Yacht for the winter period.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of the yacht, ensuring that all deck duties are performed with professionalism and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be overseeing the deck projects throughout the winter and maintaining the bridge paperwork. The current crew on the vessel are a well polished and the bosun that is coming onboard needs to be able to to fit into the crew ethos and vibe. The vessel will be based in Palma during the winter period.

Please Note: There is an option for the candidate to go home for Christmas for a few days but the travel will not be covered by the vessel.

Start Date: 1st December

End Date: 25th January with the possibility to extend to the 8th February

Candidate requirements:

• Previous experience as a Bosun on vessels 50m+ or Lead Deckhand on vessels 65m+ is essential

• Good eyes for detail

• Capable of teaching less experienced crew, responsible for a team of 3

• Knowledge of safety protocols and standards within the yachting industry

• Ability to maintain and care for all deck equipment and facilities

• Strong teamwork and communication skills

• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment and adapt to varying conditions

• STCW and ENG1

• Yacht Master Offshore or Higher

Package:

• Salary: €4,500 – 5,500 DOE and Tickets

• Leave: Consolidated

• Itinerary: Spain for the Winter
