Are you an experienced superyacht deckhand or Bosun looking for an exciting opportunity exploring Western Australia?

MYS Superyacht Crew is seeking an experienced Bosun to join a 40m private motor yacht with an established, long-standing crew. The vessel will be Perth-based through to June 2027 before heading to Exmouth and the Kimberley, with potential future cruising in Indonesia.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on, capable deck professional who enjoys tender operations, fishing, diving and exploring remote destinations.

Position Snapshot

• Vessel: 40m Private Motor Yacht

• Location: Perth, Exmouth and the Kimberley, Western Australia

• Start: Within 2–4 weeks

• Minimum Qualification: Coxswain

• STCW: Essential

• Accommodation: Liveaboard

• Crew: Established, long-standing team

• Salary: $100,000 AUD / Year

Position Description

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the deck, supervising a deckhand and ensuring the vessel’s exterior, equipment and tenders are maintained to a high standard.

Strong tender driving skills are essential, including experience operating both Boston Whaler and RIB tenders. Candidates with fishing and/or diving experience will be highly regarded, particularly those who enjoy making the most of the vessel’s cruising destinations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working on superyachts is essential

• Minimum Coxswain qualification and current STCW

• Confident tender handling and driving skills, including Boston Whaler and RIB tenders

• Ability to manage and lead a deckhand

• Strong deck maintenance, washdown and general seamanship skills

• Fishing and/or diving experience highly advantageous

• Professional, proactive and team-oriented attitude

• Comfortable living onboard and cruising remote areas of Western Australia
