The Candidate Specification

We are seeking a motivated and career-driven Bosun / OOW to join an 80m+ private and charter yacht operating in the Mediterranean. This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Bosun looking to step up and gain further bridge exposure within a well-structured programme.

The successful candidate must hold an OOW 3000 certification and demonstrate strong leadership within the deck team, alongside a keen interest in progressing into an officer role. This position offers the opportunity to step into the 2nd Officer role during leave periods, providing valuable bridge experience and development.

Candidates should be confident, proactive, and capable of managing deck operations while maintaining high standards, particularly during busy charter periods. A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn and grow are essential for success in this role.

This role is ideal for someone who has not yet held a full-time 2nd Officer position but is ready to take the next step and gain exposure to bridge duties and navigational responsibilities.
