Job Description
Vessel Details:
- An 80m+ private motor yacht is currently recruiting for an experienced Rotational Chief Stewardess to join the vessel in early December!
- The yacht operates an extensive international cruising programme, with a well-established dual-season operation and an experienced crew supported by a professional management structure.
- This is an excellent opportunity for a confident Chief Stewardess looking to join a high-standard private programme, offering a 2:2 rotational leave package, a competitive salary and a generous professional development package.
Position Overview:
- The Chief Stewardess will be responsible for overseeing an interior department of eight, maintaining exceptional service and presentation standards while ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the department.
- The yacht is looking for someone with a positive, energetic and engaging personality, who can lead by example, motivate the team and contribute to a professional, enjoyable working environment.
- An important aspect of the position will be bringing fresh ideas and creativity to the guest experience, including bespoke activities, themed events and special occasions tailored to the owners and their guests.
- The successful candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of the interior operation while working collaboratively with the wider senior crew and remaining receptive to constructive feedback.
Requirements:
- You must preferably have previous experience as a Chief Stewardess, ideally onboard a yacht of comparable size. Experienced Heads of Service with substantial departmental leadership experience and longevity may also be considered.
- Strong leadership, organisation and team-management skills are essential, alongside a proven ability to maintain high standards across a sizeable interior department.
- You must also be personable, enthusiastic, proactive and genuinely team-oriented, with the confidence to lead an established department and introduce new ideas.
- Valid B1/B2 and European passport/Schengen visas must be in hand, alongside all relevant and up-to-date certification.
- Salary: Very strong salary per month DOE (in EURO).
- Rotation: 2 months on/2 months off.
- Flights to and from the vessel are covered, alongside comprehensive medical insurance and a generous training allowance. The position also offers an MLC-compliant employment agreement and the support of an established management company.
- Start date: Early December, with a comprehensive handover provided.
