The Candidate Specification
We are looking for an experienced Chief Stewardess to lead a close-knit interior team of three on a private and charter yacht. This is a team that works really well together, with a supportive and trusted 2nd stew already on board. They need someone who will slot in, respect what's already working, and build on it rather than reinvent it.
The yacht is coming out of a warranty period and heads to Sanremo in mid-December. Following a successful charter season this year, the plan for 2027 is a Mediterranean season of private and charter use.
The owners have high standards and a real eye for detail. The interior is minimalist, immaculate and organised so that everything has its place. Storage is limited, so smart, considered provisioning is essential. You'll need to be good at reading people. Feedback is always given politely, and sometimes the detail is between the lines.
Wardrobe management is really important. You'll need excellent laundry and ironing skills and confident, well-rounded knowledge across housekeeping, service and laundry. Service is elegant: candlelit tablescapes, beautiful fresh flowers, and celebrations that deliver a genuine wow factor.
On the leadership side, the owners love seeing their crew develop, and there is a training budget on board to use. If you enjoy mentoring and upskilling your team, you'll be valued here. Each department manages its own accounts using Voly, and training will be provided.
Above all, they want someone fun, positive and genuinely honest. Open communication matters: if something goes wrong, you own it and talk about it. If you're a steady, experienced Chief Stew who can lead with warmth and keep standards high, this is a lovely boat to call home.
- Required Experience: Minimum 2 years as Chief Stewardess

- Couples considered where the partner is an engineer
