The Candidate Specification
We are seeking a passionate Crew Chef to join a busy private and charter motor yacht on a permanent basis, starting within the next one to two weeks. The yacht is currently in a shipyard. After an outstanding season that included cruising Norway's breathtaking fjords and waterfalls and three charters, one of them a month-long exclusive trip, the yacht heads to the Caribbean in late November, with time in the USA and US territories, and has an exciting itinerary planned for 2027.
The yacht has 25+ crew on board, and during the season the galley runs with three chefs. You will work alongside a supportive Head Chef who has been on board for four years and will help you settle in and grow. Your main focus will be feeding the crew healthy, creative and varied meals that keep a busy team fuelled and happy. You need to be confident cooking in bulk without losing quality or imagination, and a real passion for food is essential.
This role suits a land-based chef ready to move into yachting. A background in ski chalets or restaurants is particularly welcome. Candidates must hold all required certificates, valid and in date, and a valid B1/B2 visa because of the upcoming US and Caribbean itinerary.
The package includes 60 days' annual leave and two return flights per year. Crew have earned good tips in the past. If you are a creative, hardworking chef looking for your next adventure, we would love to hear from you.
- Qualification Required: STCW, ENG1, Food Hygiene Certificates
- Required Visa: B1B2 and Schengen Visa (If Applicable)
- Due to Cabin arrangements: Male
