Job Title: Deckhand / Dive Instructor
- Start Date: Mid-Late October
- Leave: 12:6 Rotation
- Salary: DOE
- Contract type: Rotational
The Yacht
- Itinerary: Caribbean | Mediterranean
The Candidate Specification We are recruiting for a Deckhand / Dive Instructor to join a strong, hardworking deck team on a yacht with an exciting programme ahead. Joining in the Caribbean from mid to late October, the yacht will spend Christmas and New Year in the region before completing annuals and returning to the Mediterranean in April.
This is a busy, physical role and would suit someone fit, energetic and genuinely enthusiastic about deck operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include tender driving, handling slides and fenders and supporting wider deck operations. The summer programme is particularly busy, with long days and back-to-back trips, while the Caribbean season offers plenty of guest interaction at a slightly steadier pace.
A key part of the programme is tender training, with the deck team given the opportunity to develop their driving skills across a range of tenders. Training progresses from smaller 5M tenders through to larger 16M tenders, making this a great opportunity for someone who wants to build strong practical skills and continue developing onboard.
Candidates must hold a Dive Instructor qualification. Diving responsibilities will include running guest try dives and snorkelling trips when required. We are looking for someone positive, hardworking and hungry to learn who will enjoy being part of an active and social crew.
- Required experience: Previous Deckhand experience
- Qualification: Dive Instructor qualification, STCW, ENG1
- Required Visa: TBC
- Due to Cabin arrangements: TBC
