We are looking for a experienced Deckhand to join a dual season 60m+ Private Sailing Yacht

This is a private programme focused on family style use throughout the year with the possibility of light charter in-between

The deckhand role will involve general deck duties, tender driving and maintaining the yacht’s extensive watersports equipment.

This position would suit a proactive Deckhand who is confident on the water, enjoys sailing and watersports, and is happy to take responsibility for equipment and day-to-day deck operations.

Ideal Candidate

• Approximately 2 years of solid yachting experience, with the ability to hit the ground running.

• Yachtmaster Offshore qualification is essential.

• Big-boat sailing experience on yachts of 30m+ is a must,

• Confident tender driving on larger tenders

• Watersports experience is highly advantageous, particularly diving, sailing, kiteboarding, windsurfing, foiling or diving.

• A positive team player who will suit the yacht’s relaxed and sociable crew dynamic.

• Strictly no tattoos

Package

• Salary: €3,250 DOE

• Leave: 40 days annually.

• Start: ASAP ideally!

Interesting FactsI’ve always had a strong sporting background, competing in athletics for 12 years and becoming Welsh 5K Road Champion along the way. I then spent five years playing rugby, competing in both 15s and 7s. Through 7s, I had the opportunity to play for some fantastic teams, including Bath Ladies, as well as compete at the Dubai 7s — an incredible experience that combined my love of sport with my passion for travel and new experiences.

Where you’ll find me at the weekend?

At the weekend, you’ll usually find me making the most of the outdoors — discovering quirky coffee shops, exploring new forest trails, or heading to the beach with my partner and our rescue dogs. There’s usually a well-earned pub stop along the way! I’m also a keen runner and love exploring the South Coast on foot, taking in the views as I go. When the weather is on our side, I’ll be out paddleboarding and making the most of every opportunity to enjoy the outdoors.
