The Candidate Specification
We are recruiting for a Deckhand to join an impressive 100M+ private new-build yacht with a sociable, close-knit crew and an exciting programme ahead.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of one year's deck experience and be confident, outgoing and comfortable interacting with guests. We are looking for someone with a big personality who communicates well, enjoys being part of a social crew and is keen to continue learning and developing onboard.
This would particularly suit someone sporty and enthusiastic who enjoys an active programme. Strong watersports experience is important, while confident tender driving would be a significant advantage. The deck department consists of ten Deckhands within a crew of over 40, so being a genuine team player and comfortable working as part of a larger operation is essential.
The yacht places a strong emphasis on crew development, with onboard training and a generous training allowance available. The package also includes a 3:1 rotation, annual salary increases and a 13th-month bonus. There are excellent crew facilities onboard, including a crew gym and good-sized cabins.
The yacht will cross to the Caribbean for Christmas and New Year, with Alaska also being considered for the programme. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for progression, adventure and a yacht that genuinely invests in its crew.
