Job Description

Vessel Details:

• A 75m+ new-build Lürssen motor yacht is currently recruiting for an experienced Deckhand to join the vessel ASAP!

• The yacht is undertaking an extensive world-cruising programme, offering the opportunity to experience a varied itinerary onboard a recently delivered pedigree build.

• The position offers a 3:1 rotation, a competitive salary (DOE) and a generous annual training allowance, making this a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to develop in their career within a professional programme.

Position Overview:

• The Deckhand will be involved in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the yacht, including general deck duties, tender operations, water-sports and assisting with guest activities.

• The yacht is particularly interested in candidates with additional skills in fishing, diving or tender driving, who can contribute to the owners’ activities throughout the cruising programme.

• As the yacht operates with children onboard, candidates should be personable, approachable and genuinely comfortable interacting with younger guests.

• This would suit a motivated Deckhand with one to two years of yachting experience who is looking to further develop their skills onboard a large, modern vessel.

Requirements:

• For this role, you MUST hold the right to work in Australia to be considered for this role.

• A minimum of one to two years’ previous yachting experience is preferred.

• You must have a Yachtmaster ticket in hand, and preferably hold diving qualifications too.

• Non-smokers only. Visible tattoos will be considered at the Captain’s discretion.

• Salary: Competitive and DOE.

• Rotation: 3 months on/1 month off.

• Annual training allowance of up to $2,000, available following probation.

• Start date: ASAP!
