Job Description

Vessel Details:

• A 75m+ new-build Lürssen motor yacht is currently recruiting for a Third Officer to join the vessel in late October or early November!

• The yacht is undertaking an extensive world-cruising programme, offering a varied operational environment onboard a pedigree-built motor yacht.

• This is an excellent opportunity for a developing officer looking to gain further experience within a professional bridge and deck team, with a 3:1 rotation and a competitive overall package.

Position Overview:

• The Third Officer will support the senior officers with the safe navigation and day-to-day operation of the yacht, while remaining actively involved with the wider deck department.

• Previous experience with fishing, diving or water-sports would be particularly useful given the yacht’s cruising programme and the activities enjoyed onboard.

• The successful candidate should demonstrate good leadership potential, strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both senior officers and junior deck crew.

• As children are regularly part of the onboard programme, a friendly, approachable personality and confidence interacting with younger guests will also be important.

Requirements:

• Candidates must hold a valid OOW 3000 ticket, with approximately one to two years yachting experience in a similar role.

• Additional qualifications or practical experience in fishing, diving, tender operations or water-sports is advantageous.

• A professional, personable and team-oriented approach is essential.

• Non-smokers only. Visible tattoos will be considered at the Captain’s discretion.

• Salary: Competitive and DOE.

• Rotation: 3 months on/1 month off.

• Annual training allowance of up to $2,000, available following probation.

• Start date: Late October/early November.
